Unique Sustainable Workplace
Our ambition is to deliver new, diverse office and creative environments within the existing complex of Trafalgar Place, making the destination more attractive for evolving future businesses. As part of a wider enhancement masterplan including courtyard and building upgrades, the first project will deliver rooftop extensions to form new flexible work, social and breakout spaces along with extensive external landscape terraces delivering significant biodiversity net gain.
Inherent Sustainability
Environmentally efficient design and operation is hard-wired into the proposed scheme. The new rooftops are sculpted and angled to capture solar gain via integrated photovoltaic (PV) panels, while the new north-facing skylights will offer natural daylighting. Perimeter windows are all operable, allowing for passive natural ventilation internally and the new structure will be delivered in cross-laminated timber, reducing embodied carbon and enhancing interior user experiences. The development will benefit from a number of nationally recognised sustainability credentials including: BREEAM Excellent, WELL Building Standard and Life Carbon Analysis.
Respecting Brighton’s Skyline
Our ambition is to offer a fresh new piece of architecture for Brighton, recalling the site’s industrial railway heritage to improve the dated character of the existing buildings, whilst complementing the neighbouring conservation areas.
“Trafalgar Place has the potential to be the most aspirational working environment in Brighton”
